About LocateKit
LocateKit is an independent website about location sharing, finding lost devices and location privacy. It is operated by Martin Pavlič, an independent web developer based in Slovakia.
What you can do here
Our guides explain how location features on phones and in browsers work, including the limits that change the answer. Our tools cover everyday location tasks: sharing your own position, measuring and converting coordinates on maps, and checking or cleaning private data in photos and track files.
The live-location tool shares only your own location and only after you choose to start sharing and grant browser location permission. LocateKit cannot find another person's phone from a phone number or IMEI, and it cannot track a device without the consent given on that device. The radius map measures straight-line distance for planning, not navigation or emergency use. The photo tool creates a cleaned copy in your browser and does not upload your photo.
How the guides are made
Guides are based on linked documentation and research. A source-based explanation is not a hands-on product test. Where a guide reports a test, it describes the devices, conditions and results. Our editorial standards explain that distinction, how AI assistance is checked, and how corrections are handled.
