Editorial standards
LocateKit publishes practical explanations of location tools and privacy. Martin Pavlič, the operator based in Slovakia, is responsible for what appears here. The following standards guide what we publish and how we revise it.
Sources and limits
Technical instructions should link to current documentation from the company or organisation responsible for the feature. We distinguish documented behaviour from interpretation, and explain device, account and regional limits that change the answer. A search ranking is not evidence that a claim is correct. We state plainly what our own tools cannot do, including that they cannot locate a phone from a phone number or IMEI.
Testing
A comparison based on documentation is labelled as such. We do not describe it as hands-on testing. Any account of an actual test must identify the equipment, method and relevant limitations. We do not invent measurements, user experiences or product reviews.
AI assistance
AI tools assist with research, drafting and editing. They can make mistakes. Claims must be checked against the linked sources; AI output alone is not evidence. Editorial responsibility remains with the publisher, Martin Pavlič.
Corrections
Please report an error with the article URL and the detail concerned. Reports are answered within two working days. Material corrections explain what changed; the revision date is retained in page metadata. A changed date by itself is not a content update.
Commercial relationships
Paid placements and affiliate relationships must be disclosed on the page concerned. Payment must not determine a factual conclusion or turn a source-based comparison into a claimed product test.
Privacy and consent
We explain tools that people use on their own devices or choose to share with others. We do not offer covert tracking or promise access to a person's location from their phone number.
