A harmless location prank creates a brief surprise and then makes the truth obvious. It should never make someone fear that they are being stalked or that an emergency is underway.
- Good fit: friends in a casual group chat, a birthday message or an April Fools joke.
- Bad fit: emergencies, threats, relationship surveillance, minors you do not know or impersonating police.
- Simple test: if the recipient will not laugh after the reveal, do not send it.
Does a location prank link track a real phone?
